Know the numbers.
Then decide.
The right decision starts with understanding what you receive and what may be repaid. Your written offer should make both clear.
Four numbers
to look for.
Funding terms depend on the case and the agreement. We don’t publish a single example rate that may not match your offer. Ask us to walk through the actual figures with you.
Talk through the detailsFunds you receive
The amount actually disbursed to you after any disclosed deductions or payoff.
Fees and charges
Every charge in the agreement and how it affects the total obligation. Charges are set by time period, never as a percentage of your recovery.
Repayment over time
The amount due at each time interval if your claim produces a recovery.
Maximum and exceptions
Any repayment cap, cancellation rights, and contract exceptions that apply.
Less uncertainty.
More informed choices.
No monthly payments
Repayment is tied to claim proceeds under the agreement. You do not make scheduled monthly payments while the case is pending.
What “non-recourse” means
Repayment generally comes only from the claim’s recovery. Read the exceptions carefully, including provisions concerning fraud, material breach, or diversion of proceeds.
Your right to review
Review the full agreement with your attorney before signing. You may cancel within five business days after you receive the funds by returning them as the agreement instructs. Ask about early repayment and how the total changes over time. Your agreement controls.
Take only what you need.
Legal financing reduces the portion of a recovery you keep and can be costly if a case takes longer to resolve. Consider the smallest amount that meets your needs and discuss other available options with your attorney. A funding request does not obligate you to accept an offer.
